My works are based on architectural structures. As a symbol for self, these elements are metaphors for stages of my life. I classify my work as Soft Geometric Minimalism. The works consist of grids sectioned off into rectangles, squares and triangles, forming grid patterns, X, and house formations. This imagery is inspired by my life experiences, during which I've travelled and lived extensivly throughout Canada. The imagery in these works represent entries into areas containing reflections of my childhood and reactions to my life experiences. These elements represent places I've been and my reaction to them. They reflect a human interchange with the structure. The combination of these images in my paintings provides a means of exploring these issues. One image juxaposed next to another suggests different aspects of reflection.

I look upon these works as internal landscapes.
